Send a donational SMS with the text DMS priroda at number 17 777 (for subscribers to GLOBUL, vivatel and M-Tel).
The purpose of this campaign is to buy up valuable natural areas (meadows, pastures, woods, swamps) that are private property in order to guarantee a long-term preservation of the biodiversity in them. It's our chance to keep a little wild land in order that the Bulgarian nature remains!
A solid part of Bulgaria is the private property which includes: sand dunes, meadows with local endemical species such as the Rhodope lily or the world's threatened of extinction plants like the provansal orchid, the unique venerable oaks and chestnuts woods. All of them are outside the protected areas and their preservation depends mainly on the consciousness of the owner of the area. These territories are low categories and their prices verify between 100 and 1000 lv. for a decare.
With each past year Bulgaria is "releasing" with quick steps from its precious nature and gives priority to pseudo - investors, constructions, cleared forests, unstable used areas. That is why the need of preserving territories and woods with high conservational value is getting bigger considering the unprecedented violation on Strandja, Irakli, Rhodopes, Pirin, Rila.
Therefore, if you are FOR the wild nature and you want the rare species and beautiful landscapes to be preserved for long time - join in our campaign.
In each contract (notarial act) for bying land will be written explicit and clear condition that these areas will keep their function and will be used only with conservational purpose.
By now the Bulgarian fondation Biodiversity works 14 years for keeping the Bulgarian nature save. The fondation is registered in public benefit and it annulally gives acount in the public register.
